Mikros Systems Announces Additional ADEPT Award

Reports $0.4 Million Task Order

Princeton, NJ – April 18, 2012 – Mikros Systems Corporation (OTCBB: MKRS) today announced that it has received an additional task order from the U.S. Navy worth $0.4 million for work related to its core ADEPT(R) products. Specifically, the award encompasses an ADEPT pilot project in support of the Navy’s Littoral Combat Ships (LCS”), to be completed during 2012.

“We are very pleased to announce this additional order from the U.S. Navy, which serves to expand our ADEPT capabilities,” said Tom Meaney, Mikros President and CEO. “The award is for updates to support the LCS Freedom class of vessels – with the potential for additional orders in the future. We expect that this effort will culminate in a test installation on an LCS ship to determine how to implement a permanent ADEPT solution and bring extended distance support, including remote monitoring, to LCS ships across the globe. It is another example of a win for Mikros that will drive our growth in 2012 and beyond.”
